George Washington had a brilliant tactic to recover the town of Trenton by crossing the Delaware River on December 25th, 1776 to defeat the Hessians. George Washington led his troops to victory after being defeated battle after battle. He said to his troops, “If you say and fight i will double your annual salary, stay and fight for your friends and family." George Washington is a long lasting memory in the United States of America for it’s independence from England.
